Korean War Vet, owned Merideth Photograpy Studio

Robert L. Pentino, 89, of Waterbury beloved husband of Alberta Schultz) Pentino of 61 years, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by the love of his family on Wednesday July 7, 2021.
Bob was born March 4, 1932 in Waterbury, son of the late Andrew and Elizabeth ( Cestaro) Pentino. He served his country proudly in the US Air Force from January 1952 through January 1956 with tour of duty with the 18th Fighter Wing Osan, Korea, as an Air Force Photographer. Bob was awarded the Korean Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal and CT Veteran’s Wartime Service Medal. Bob was a member of VFW Post 201 after his military service, he worked for various Photographers in Miami, Florida and Waterbury, CT. He was the owner of the former Merideth Studio. He was also a member of Union Local 304 Moving Pictures Machine Operators. Bob held the office of Secretary Treasurer and then President.
Bob and Alberta began their married life on August 3, 1959 and later welcomed sons Craig and Todd to their family. Throughout their 62 years together, Bob and his family enjoyed pool parties, vacations and time spent together. He enjoyed jazz and playing the drums. During the years of his service he had a three-piece combo band. Bob was a loving husband, father and friend. He will be so terribly missed.
Besides his wife and sons, Bob is survived by his sister Andrea, nieces, nephews and many friends. He was predeceased by his sister Frances (Fran) Brown.
