Obituary for Mr. Ronald Baker
Local restauranter, devoted to his family
WATERTOWN – Ronald Baker, age 73, of Watertown passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at St Mary’s Hospital.

Ron was born on December 7, 1949 in Waterbury the son of the late Robert and Sarah (DeVito) Baker. He was educated in local schools and was a renowned local restauranter owning both Charles Dickens Pub and Ebenezer Scott’s in Waterbury. He was fondly known to his family as “Pops” and was especially close to his six grandchildren.
Despite his declining health he never lost a charismatic sense of humor. Ron was exceptional in many ways but he excelled at being a devoted father and grandfather. He instilled in his children a strong work ethic and the importance of family. Ron will be greatly missed by all those who were blessed to know and love him.

Left to honor his legacy and cherish his memory, are his children Eric Baker and his partner Elizabeth Pistritto of Thomaston, Brian Baker and his wife, Alicia of Watertown, and Timothy Baker and his wife Danielle of Burlington. Ron was blessed with 6 grandchildren whom he adored, and they were devoted to him; Abby, Jamie, Brennan, Ava, Ripley and Dax.
Funeral Services for Mr. Baker will be held on Monday, November 20, 2023, when a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St John the Evangelist Church 525 Main St Watertown at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Mt Olivet Cemetery, Watertown. Relatives and friends may visit with the Baker family on Sunday afternoon from 4:00 until 6:00 pm at the Casey-O'Neill Funeral Home 742 Main St Oakville CT 06779.
