She worked at Timex and Uniroyal and was a proud mother and homemaker who after raising her own family helped raise her two grandchildren.

“Loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother”
Watertown - Mrs. Rosalina (Moreira) Vilela, 100, of Watertown, entered into the gates of heaven in the peace and comfort of her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the widow of Manuel Vilela who died November 20, 2018.

Rosalina was born in New Bedford, MA on April 9, 1921, daughter of the late Almerindo Machado and Matilde Moreira. She moved with her family as a toddler to a small village near Vila Real, Portugal, later returning with her husband and daughters to Waterbury in 1967, where they resided for over 40 years. She worked at Timex and Uniroyal and was a proud mother and homemaker who after raising her own family helped raise her two grandchildren. She truly cherished her two daughters, two grandchildren and three great grandchildren whom she was very proud of. She was a very generous person to her family and friends and she was the happiest when with them.
She leaves to honor and cherish her memory her two daughters, Olga Vilela and Maria Amelia Olhero and her husband Celso, all of Watertown, two grandchildren, Marilia Jose of Middlebury, and Nelson Olhero, as well as three great grandchildren, Amelie, Evan, and Amanda Jose.

Arrangements: A funeral will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2022, 9:30 a.m. from Chase Parkway Memorial, the Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury to Our Lady of Fatima Church, 2071 Baldwin Street, Waterbury, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at All Saints Cemetery in Waterbury. A calling hour will be Saturday morning from 8:30 - 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
