WATERTOWN - Rose (Traub) Perry, 95, of Watertown, passed peacefully in the comfort of her home on Sunday, October 18, 2020, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family. She has been reunited in Heaven with the love of her life, her beloved husband and best friend, Russell. She married Russell in 1945 following his service in WWII, and together they raised their family in Watertown. Their marriage was full of love and devotion for each other for 66 years, before his passing in 2011.
Rose was born in Waterbury, on August 15, 1925, daughter of the late Andrew and Anna Brazee, and the adopted daughter of Harold and Annie ( Russin) Traub. She lived her entire life in Watertown, attended Watertown schools, and was a member of the United Methodist Church.
In the early 1950’s, Rose was employed by the Heminway and Bartlett Silk Co. Later, she was employed at the Princeton Co., worked a few years at the Albright Chemical Co., and twenty-five years at the Technicraft Co. in Thomaston, retiring from there in 1990.
Rose was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt as family was so important to her. She loved everybody and they loved her. Family gatherings, birthday celebrations and holidays were always at her house because her greatest joy was being surrounded by her family and friends.
In recent years, Rose, loved to sit on her front porch, but early on she enjoyed gardening and planted beautiful flower gardens in her yard that were the envy of the neighborhood. Many passing by would stop when they saw her outside to tell her how much they admired her flower gardens.
