Rosemary (Santoro) Briglia, age 97, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday, June 30, 2023 at Beacon Brook Health Center in Naugatuck. She was the loving wife of the late Joseph D. Briglia.

Born in Waterbury on December 27, 1925, Rosemary was the daughter of the late Giuseppe and Marianna (Santoro) Trentalange. Orphaned at a young age, Rosemary was adopted by her uncle Frank and his wife Concetta (DiToto) Santoro. She was a graduate of Wilby High School, class of 1943 and attended Post Jr. College. She was a longtime communicant of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. Rosemary worked in the payroll department at Bristol Babcock for over 30 years until her retirement in 1990. She loved to travel, play golf and bridge. She enjoyed yoga and was an excellent seamstress and knitter.
Rosemary is survived by her daughters, Anne Briglia of New York City and Rosemary and her husband Larry Natale of Middlebury; and her son-in-law Walter Zuber of Southington. She also leaves her grandson Joseph Zuber of New Hampshire as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, and Joseph, her husband, Rosemary was also predeceased by her daughter Carolyn Briglia, and her siblings Michael Trentalange, Helen Genovese, John Trentalange, and Caroline Santoro.

Her funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at 10:00am at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 785 Highland Ave., Waterbury. Burial in Calvary Cemetery will be private. There are no calling hours. Family and friends are asked to meet directly at the church. Maiorano Funeral Home has the honor to assist her family during this difficult time.
