Obituary: Roy A. Palmer Dies at 50
The following obituary was provided by Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home.

PROSPECT — Mr. Roy A. Palmer, age 50, of Prospect, died Wednesday June 29,2011 at St. Mary's Hospital after a brief illness.
Mr. Palmer was born in Waterbury on October 25,1960 a son of Raymond J. and Theresa (Brennan) Palmer of Prospect. He was employed as a security guard at Five Star Security and was a communicant of St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church in Prospect. Roy enjoyed reading, was a history buff, and was avid New York Yankees fan.
Besides his parents, Roy is survived by four sisters Marilyn Nelson and her husband Brian of North Haven, Patricia O'Donnell and her husband Mark of Encinitas, California, Linda Blinstrubas and her husband Robert of Prospect and Lisa Grocki and her husband Glenn of Prospect, one brother: Robert Palmer of Prospect and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Raymond Palmer.

A funeral mass will be held on Saturday July 2, 2011 at 9 a.m. at St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church 4 Union City Road in Prospect. Family and friends are asked to please meet directly at the church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Waterbury at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home 26 Waterbury Road on Route 69 in Prospect on Friday July 1, 2011 from 5 to 8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary' s Hospital 56 Franklin St. Waterbury, CT 06706.
