Sharon A. (Fuda) Shaw, 71, of Naugatuck, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 12, 2023 at Waterbury Hospital with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of Richard L. Shaw for 13 years.
Sharon was born in Meriden, on April 16, 1952, the daughter of the late Joseph J. and Claire (Bennett) Fuda. She was a graduate of Platt High School. Sharon worked her entire life in retail, enjoying the past 20 years as a manager of several Cumberland Farms. When not working, Sharon enjoyed travelling to Foxwoods to play bingo. Most of all, she cherished spending time with her family.

Besides her husband, Rich, Sharon is survived by her siblings, Joseph J. Fuda, Jr. (Lynn), Cynthia Gallucci (Adelio), Nancy Lynn Walsh (Robert) Maria and Jody Fuda. She’s also survived by five nephews, Joseph, Nicolas and Jon Fuda and Conor and Patrick Walsh. She also leaves her step sons, Richard L. Shaw, Jr. and his partner, Kathy Cutaia of Houston, TX, and Michael Shaw (Pam) of Waterbury, step granddaughter, Samantha Shaw and step great granddaughter, Ella Shaw. She was predeceased by her step mother, Carmella (Fusco) Fuda. The family would like to thank Sharon’s many friends who supported her with phone calls and texts daily.
Arrangements: Calling hours for Sharon will be held on Saturday morning, June 17, 2023 from 9:00 – 10:30 a.m. at Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated after the calling hours at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Waterbury at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Meriden.
