Loved his family more than anything

Naugatuck, CT - Shawn Michael Smith, 32, died unexpectedly on December 10, 2022.

Shawn Michael was born May 17, 1990 in Waterbury, CT son of Shaun Woodfield and Gerald “Beau” Smith. Shawn graduated Valedictorian from W.F. Kaynor Technical High School in 2008 and went on to study at the University of Connecticut. Shawn enjoyed music and formerly worked as a DJ and he loved his family more than anything.

In addition to his mother and his father, Shawn Michael is survived by his maternal grandparents, Jim and Tina Woodfield; his paternal grandmother, Dorothy Smith; his aunt, Traci Woodfield and her partner, Matt Stewart; his cousin, Steven Woodfield; his uncles and aunts, Rick and Terry Smith, Steven Smith, Jeffrey Smith, David Smith, Paul Smith, Bob and June Smith; his fur baby, Rose and his many cousins. Shawn was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, George Smith.

All services will be private and there are no calling hours. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck.
