Shirley’s greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family and friends – she had an extensive group of people that loved to be in her company that also brought her so much joy. Her favorite pastimes were spending an afternoon on her sister’s porch surrounded by her family, reminiscing, laughing and enjoying those around her. A great deal of Shirley’s time was spent with her two daughters, sons-in-law, and her grandson that she loved more than anything else in life. Shirley loved to travel; she had traveled cross country several times and went to numerous Lake George Car Shows with her and her husband and the Kenecticut Hardware Cruisers Club. Any opportunity that she would get to adventure to Maine to visit her grandson was one Shirley would take, and it was on these adventures that she had the best of times just enjoying her daughters and grandson.
Shirley leaves behind her two daughters, Deborah D'Amico Peck and her husband William of Watertown, and Lisa D'Amico Grimm and her husband Michael of Watertown; three sisters, Marian Guerin and her husband Phil of Watertown, Hazel Gallary and her husband John of Middlebury, and Nancy Collier of Watertown; her sister-in-law Marie Heroux and her husband Richard of North Carolina; her beloved grandson Brian M. Grimm of Thomaston; and several nieces and nephews that loved their sweet Aunt Shirley.
