Obituary: Stephen Csengo, 72, of Naugatuck

Naugatuck – Stephen Csengo, 72, passed away on November 29, 2021 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury. He was the husband of Kathleen Csengo for 42 years. Stephen was born in Waterbury, Connecticut on July 28, 1949 to the late Steve and Helen Csengo.

Stephen was raised in Naugatuck. He graduated from Naugatuck High School and Connecticut School of Electronics. He worked as an electronic technician for Service Source Inc. retiring in 2020. Stephen enjoyed spending time with his family, especially on the beach in Cape Cod. He loved cheering on his favorite sports teams- the Yankees, the Giants and the UConn basketball teams. He especially enjoyed spoiling his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Kathleen, Stephen is survived by his son, Stephen R. Csengo, of Naugatuck, his daughter, Deborah DeGennaro of Harwinton, his son-in-law, Jake DeGennaro of Harwinton, three grandchildren; Teddy, Eli, and Josie DeGennaro of Harwinton, his sister, Carolyn Tucker of Waterbury, and several nieces and nephews.
