Born on April 21, 1954 in Waterbury, Steve was the son of the late Frank and Myrtle (Steeves) Vitone. He was a graduate of Wolcott High School, Class of 1972. He worked as a chemical operator for McDermott Chemical for over 20 years and later for Omnicare Health in the shipping and receiving department until his retirement. He was a proud U.S. Navy veteran having served during the Vietnam era. He was a member of the Wolcott VFW #1979, the Bristol American Legion Post 2, and the Bristol Italian American Club.
A walking encyclopedia of everything sports, Steve was a true sports fanatic with his favorite teams being the NY Yankees and Pittsburgh Steelers. He loved jazz and rock & roll music and enjoyed attending concerts with family and friends. A “foodie” at heart, Steve loved to go to different restaurants and sample all kinds of food.
