Stephen was a kind, intelligent, humble man, who was the definition of a man who lived a simple life well. He loved animals, spending time at the beach, and his cat Lexi. He’d be the first one to point out a beautiful sunset or a beautiful day. He loved the Yankees and the Giants, as well as teaching, whether it was teaching his daughter or family members something helpful around the home, or teaching college classes in chemistry and math, he took great joy in helping others learn and took pride in their accomplishments. One of his favorite things was enjoying dinner with his family on a beautiful night, hearing about their lives, and always giving the best advice.
A man of high intelligence and of science, he was still a man of faith- he believed in the good, always. He always saw the best in people. He had a comforting presence about him.
He leaves behind, to cherish his memory and carry on his legacy, his wife, Susan, of 47 years, his daughter, Laura Manderino-Martins and her husband, whom he considered a son, Dave Martins, of Watertown and his brother, Joe Manderino of NC. He was predeceased by his sister-in-law, Cherie Manderino. Stephen also leaves his sister-in-law, Debra Henion and her husband, Steve Henion, his brother- in -law Clayton Lovallo and his wife Denise Lovallo, as well as several nieces and nephews.
