“Beloved father, nonno & brother”
Teclo S. Palladino, 78, of Naugatuck, entered the gates of Heaven on Sunday, June 18, 2023 at Waterbury Hospital, affectionately surrounded by his loving family. He was the devoted husband of the late Carmela “Lina” Palladino who passed away in 2021.

Teclo was born in Pontelandolfo, Italy on January 12, 1945, a son of the late Benedetto and Nicolina (Nardone) Palladino. He served two years in the Italian Army. He emigrated to the United States in 1968 settling in Waterbury.
Teclo was a gifted craftsman of artesian ironwork, and the successful owner/operator of Palladino Welding. He also worked as a machinist for various manufacturers until his retirement in 2012. He enjoyed refereeing collegiate and high school soccer, attending Italian dinner dances and concerts with his wife and friends, and pridefully passing down many cultural traditions to his children and grandchildren. Above all, he truly loved being a doting Nonno, and spending time with his grandchildren. Teclo was a member of the CT Soccer Officials Association and a member of the Pontelandolfo Community Club.

He leaves his children, Ben Palladino and his wife, Kathy, of Cheshire, CT and Melissa Palladino-Nygaard and her husband, Michael, of East Haddam, CT, his four loving grandchildren, Alexandra and Ben Teclo Palladino, and Jaime and Aubree Nygaard, his two brothers, Nicola Palladino of Italy, and Carlo Palladino of Waterbury, three sisters, Giusepina Pica and Vitangela Marrone, both of Italy, Annita Iannicelli of Waterbury, his in-laws, Giuseppe, Maria, Licia, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Arrangements: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 24, 2023 at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 318 Church Street, Naugatuck. Everyone is asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will follow at St. James Cemetery, Naugatuck. Calling hours will be held Friday, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. with a service at 6:30 p.m. with the members of the Pontelandolfo Community Club at Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury.
