“Loving father and grandfather”

PROSPECT, CT - Mr. Theodore A. Grieder, 86, of Prospect, entered into the gates of Heaven on Monday July 19, 2021 at the Glendale Center in Naugatuck. He was the widower of Joanne (Coccio) Grieder.

Ted was born in Waterbury on August 15, 1934, son of the late Theodore and Helene Grieder. He graduated from Wilby High School Class of 1952. He proudly served in the US. Army from 1957 to 1959. He worked as general superintedant for P. Francini Construction Co. of Derby for 30 years retiring in 1997. He was a member of the Carpenters Union, Local 24 for 55 years. He was an avid hunter and longtime member of the Waterbury Fish and Game. He enjoyed traveling and spending his winters in Florida.

He leaves to honor and cherish his memory; 2 sons, Theodore Grieder and his wife Donna of Southington and Anthony Grieder of Terryville; 3 grandchildren, Vincent DeLucia of Prospect, Taylor Godin of Plainville, and Logan Grieder of Terryville; and his longtime companion, Geraldine Laurel of Wolcott.

Arrangements: A private graveside service will be held in Prospect Cemetery at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home 430 Chase Parkway has been entrusted with the arrangements.
