Obituary: Thomas P. Calvello, 93, of Thomaston
It was Tom's wish to live out his life in that same house where he lived for 65 years. Mission accomplished.

Thomaston - Thomas P. Calvello, 93, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on January 31, 2023. He was the husband of the late Marie (Corrie) Calvello.
Tom was born in Brooklyn, New York, on March 24, 1929, to the late John and Rose (DeRosa) Calvello. At age 17, he enlisted in the Army and served his country honorably from 1946 to 1948. He served during the American Occupation of Korea as an infantry rifleman and completed one tour in Korea. Tom later worked in the credit departments of Stromberg, Seth Thomas Clocks, Charlotte Hungerford Hospital, and Waring Products.

Tom and Marie were married in Brooklyn in 1954 and built their home in Thomaston in 1958. He loved Thomaston, the St. Thomas Church family, and the many lifelong friends they made. It was Tomβs wish to live out his life in that same house where he lived for 65 years. Mission accomplished.
He is survived by his son, Thomas J. Calvello and daughter-in-law, Allison Calvello, of Burlington, his daughter Catherine Norton, son-in-law, Scott Norton, and two grandsons, Thomas Norton and Liam Norton all of Colebrook.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by siblings John, Antonette (Baranello), Filomenia (Curiale), Anthony, Catherine (Quatraro), and James.
Calling hours will take place at Lyons Funeral Home, 46 High Street, Thomaston on Friday February 10th from 9:00 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 A.M. at St. Thomas Church, 1 East Main St. Thomaston. Committal will be at the convenience of the family.
