She enjoyed helping other in any capacity and she spread love and kindness wherever she was and to whomever she was around.

June 7, 1938 ~ August 7, 2021 (age 83)

Trude F. (Volland) Galitello, 83, of Torrington, CT, peacefully passed away with her loving husband Morse by her side on Saturday, August 7, 2021, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Morse Galitello for 39 years.

Trude was born June 7, 1938, in Torrington, CT, the daughter of the late Erwin and Gertrude (Eisenhut) Volland. A hairdresser for many years, she was employed by the G Fox Salon.
Trude was a loyal and faithful member of the Torrington Advent Christian Church. She enjoyed helping other in any capacity and she spread love and kindness wherever she was and to whomever she was around.

Her favorite hobby was designing and sewing beautiful, custom handmade quilts. Each one of her grandchildren and great grandchildren received one from her, as did many other special children in her life.

In addition to her husband Morse, she is survived by two sons, Thomas Galitello of San Diego, CA, Christopher Galitello of Florida; three daughters, Andrea Antczak, Robin Hieblinger, and Stephanie Gebhardt all of Germany; nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one sister, Charlotte Basso.

Private funeral services have been entrusted to Cook Funeral Home.
