Obituary: Virginia C. Flora, 80, Formerly of Naugatuck

Virginia C. Flora, 80, of Stuart, FL, left this earth on Saturday, December 17, 2022 after a long journey with cancer.

Born March 21, 1942, she was originally from Naugatuck, CT.

She was preceded in death by her parents Ernest R. & Anna R. (Salzano) Bendler and her oldest brother Paul R. Bendler Sr. She is survived by her youngest brother Richard P. Bendler (Donna). Her children Gini A. Silvers (Lance Hamley) of Cumming, GA, James R. Flora (Melissa Blackwood) of Lawrenceburg, TN, Ruth Flora Neclerio of Birmingham, AL, Grand-daughters, Mia Bella Rose, Ana Sofia Neclerio and her Sister In Law, Rita Bendler. Several nieces, nephews as well as her extended family at Baers Furniture, where she spent the majority of her 29 years with them as General Manager in Stuart, FL.

Visitation will be Tuesday, January 31st at 9am followed by a Mass at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church, 5514 Double Oak Ln, Birmingham, AL 35242.

A Celebration of Life will immediately follow mass in the Social Hall.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that memorial contributions be made to ProHealth Home Health & Hospice, 1800 Corporate Park Drive, Birmingham, AL. 35242 in her memory.
