Obituary: Wanda (Erman) Jones, 97, of Beacon Falls

BEACON FALLS – Wanda (Erman) Jones, age 97 of Beacon Falls, beloved wife of the late Harold E. Jones and the late Sigmond Trybus, entered peaceful rest on Monday, January 2, 2023 in Waterbury Hospital. Born in Seymour on June 10, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Szostek) Erman.

A talented cook and gardener, Wanda loved tending to her vegetable garden. She enjoyed weekends on the water with her husband, Harold, and the many cruises they went on. Above all else, though, family was most important to her and she will be fondly remembered as a loving and caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Survivors include her loving children, Arlene Crowley and her partner Joseph Chiasson, and Stanley Trybus and his wife Patricia; a sister, Harriet Bak; adored grandchildren, Shannon and Rachel Crowley, Paul Bedryczuk and his wife Dawn, Paul Gorniak and his wife Mary, and Kevin Gorniak and his wife Gloria; cherished great-grandchildren, Raven, Chase and Patrick Crowley, Gabriella and Zachary Bedryczuk, and Tyler, Brady, Austin, Christian and Grace Gorniak.

In addition to her husbands, Wanda was predeceased by her cherished grandson, Patrick Crowley; step-daughter, Ellen Tibbets, and brothers, Stanley Pokora and Robert Pokora.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Friday, January 6, 2023 from 4pm to 7pm in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 W. Church St. Seymour, CT 06483. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
