Obituary: William H. Krodel Jr., Formerly of Naugatuck

William (“Bill”) Krodel Jr., age 85, of Largo, Florida, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on July 18, 2021. Mr. Krodel was born in Naugatuck, Connecticut on November 14, 1935, a son of the late William H. and Celia (Clark) Krodel.

He attended Naugatuck High School and University of Connecticut, graduating with a Bachelors of Science in Business in 1957. He pursued a career in the government, working in various leadership positions for the Internal Revenue Service and the State of Minnesota. His career path led him to New York City, Boston, Chicago and Minneapolis before he settled in Florida in 1985 and opened his own accounting firm, practicing in St. Petersburg for close to 30 years.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years Linda (Mautino), his three children, William, Karl, and Natalie, their partners, and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Richard, sister Vera Ann (“Bunny”) and brother George F.

A memorial service will be held at Brett Funeral Home at 4810 Central Avenue, St. Petersburg, FL 33771 on Saturday, July 31, with an hour to pay respects to the family starting at 10AM followed by a service at 11AM.
