Naugatuck-Zenira (Ramos) Pereira, age 74, beloved wife of Armando Pereira, passed away at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford on Friday March 11, 2022.

Born in Para, Brazil on September 18, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Mauricio and Antonia (de Carvalho) Ramos. She was a longtime Naugatuck resident and retired as Cerified Nursing Assistant from Shady Knoll Nursing Home in Seymour. Prior to retirement, she worked at Timex in Middlebury and also as a teacher in Brazil. Zenira was a parishioner of St. Vincent Ferrer Church. She enjoyed crocheting, painting, swimming, but most of all spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Zenira leaves her sons, Armando Pereira, Jr. and his wife Magdalena of Woodbridge, and Marc Pereira and his wife Tayla of Naugatuck; her grandchildren Mikkel Antonio and Valentina Pereira; her siblings; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Thursday March 17, 2022 from 4-5:30 p.m. at the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald-Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main Street, Naugatuck followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 6 p.m. at St. Vincent Ferrer Church, 1006 New Haven Road, Naugatuck.
