Ofc Kosky was hired on 12/15/2006 and attended the 314th POST Academy class in Meriden. He has been a K9 handler since 2011 when he was first partnered with K9 Vane. Ofc Kosky and K9 Vane were partners for 10 years and during that time performed over 400 tracks together resulting in an approximate 70% find rate. K9 Vane retired in 2021 and in 2022, he was awarded an Outstanding Service award for his excellence in performance.
Following K9 Vane’s retirement, Ofc Kosky was then partnered with K9 Tommy. During their short time together, they have performed numerous successful tracks which have resulted in the locating of dangerous and violent offenders as well as yielding large quantities of narcotics and illegal firearms. Ofc Kosky has embedded himself in the K9 community and has a long-standing reputation as one of the most well trained and successful K9 handlers in the state.

We thank him and his K9 partners for their commitment to the Borough and wish him the best in his future endeavors. You may still see him around town on road work assignments as one of our retired supernumerary officers.
