Orchid Florist in Waterbury to Close
The flower shop's final week will begin Monday, October 3; please stop in, shop, and say goodbye.

This message was shared on the Orchid Florist Facebook page on Friday:
To our cherished Orchid Florist customers,
It is with a heavy heart that we announce our store closing. Due to the passing last year of our owner, John Varanelli, and circumstances out of our control, we have been forced to make a very difficult decision and close our doors for good. Our staff has been steadfast in their support over the past year, and we cannot thank them enough for their hard work and dedication. It has been 96 incredible years in business serving all of our customers and the Greater Waterbury community. Our final week will begin Monday, October 3rd. We still have a wonderful assortment of flowers, plants, and gifts, so please stop in, shop, and say goodbye.
