Palace 10.4 Takes Over Waterbury's Palace Theater

Attendees enjoyed a fun-filled evening of plentiful food and a wide variety of entertainment at this one-of-a-kind experience on Friday.

WATERBURY, CT - The Palace Theater was THE place to be on Friday evening as guests celebrated the culmination of the 2018-2019 of the season with Palace 10.4 Your Party Place. This truly was a one-of-a-kind experience where attendees explored six different parties, each buzzing with live entertainment, specialty bars and plentiful (and delicious) food stations.

The fifth annual Party at the Palace began with an outdoor pre-party. Doors opened at 6:00pm but the main entrances to the theater were locked to accommodate the caterers serving hot and cold food in the front lobby.

Guest enjoyed complimentary craft beer tasting on the loading dock, as well as plentiful food stations, specialty drinks, and desserts.

The highlight of the evening was a wide variety of live entertainment throughout the venue, some of which performed concurrently, allowing guests to choose where they wished to linger.

The beer garden was set up on the theater’s loading dock and the alley leading to the stage door was blocked off. Cajun Ray and the Steamers performed there. The Grand Foyer was transformed into a piano bar where WATR’s Tom Chute performed selections from the Great American Songbook accompanied by Sean Lewis. Marcia Maslo also sang some wonderful numbers.

Caribbean rhythms were in the air of the mezzanine when The Roylety Steelpan Band performed. The Poli Club was taken over by men on acoustic guitars. Charlie Apicella, Joe Carter and Eran Troy Danner performed.

Meanwhile on the mainstage was a dance party led by Timmy Maia Experience. The grand finale in the orchestra lobby featured today’s hits provided by Powerstation Events.

Local celebrities in attendance, in addition to Mr. Chute and Ms. Maslo, were Michele Gotay, Connecticut Critics Circle Award nominee James Donohue, Marianna Vagnini-Dadamo, Selim Noujaim, Palace Theater Volunteer Coordinator Debbie Forcelli, PR person Sheree Marcucci and Gary Rosengrant.
