Palace Theater Health & Safety Policy Update

The overall COVID policy will still require proof of vaccination, or a negative PCR COVID test taken within 72 hours.

Given the reduced COVID infection rates and in accordance with the State of Connecticut’s relaxation of mask mandates, the Palace Theater will no longer require its patrons, attendees, and staff to wear a face mask in the building for events, activities, or work, effective Monday, February 28, 2022, with the following exceptions:

  • Patrons, attendees, and staff may opt to continue wearing a mask for their own protection if they choose to do so.
  • Certain touring productions, performers, or artists may require masks to be worn before, during, and after their performances.
  • If you are not fully vaccinated, we encourage you to wear a mask while in the building.
  • Should the State, local municipality or health authority issue further changes to policy in response to an increase or decrease in COVID infection rates, the Palace reserves the right to comply with such changes and recommendations, including the reinstatement of mask wearing.

Please note: although our new mask policy will now be clearly defined as “Mask Optional,” our overall COVID policy will still require proof of vaccination, or a negative PCR COVID test taken within 72 hours of attending a performance. Thank you for your continued cooperation and support as we all navigate this difficult situation. Should you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Palace Theater Box Office at 203.346.2000
