NAUGATUCK, CT β€” A 15-year-old girl was injured and brought to a hospital Monday afternoon after being hit by a car in Naugatuck.

According to an accident summary provided by police, the incident occurred as the teen was walking along Rubber Avenue around 2 p.m. and entered the road from the sidewalk.

The teen was struck by a 2014 Nissan Pathfinder and taken to Waterbury Hospital by Naugatuck EMS. As of Monday evening, her injuries are not life-threatening and she remains at the hospital, according to police.
