Phantom Fall Fest at Lake Compounce Offers Family Fun
Naugatuck Patch Mayor reviews the family-friendly part of Lake Compounce's Phantom Fall Fest.
Before the phantoms take over Lake Compounce’s annual Phantom Fall Fest, America’s first amusement park becomes a wonderland of not-too-scary options for younger guests.
The daylight hours allow kids and grownups to play every Saturday and Sunday for those looking for family-friendly entertainment. Visitors can enjoy a variety of free daytime entertainment for guests of all ages.
Kids (and adults) can wear their favorite costume and take a Halloween journey through the park to visit the trick or treating stations that are set up throughout the kiddie area of the park, with costumed adults distributing the treats. Kids’ Costume Parade is scheduled for Oct. 26 at 3 p.m. and a Howl-oween Dog Costume Parade will take place on Oct. 19 at 3 p.m.

Other events include dance parties and a photo scavenger hunt to discover the best photo opp spots in the park. All of the kiddie land rides operate during the day. For an additional fee, guests can decorate a pumpkin, visit the spooky slime lab under a pavilion, or stuff a boo bear.
As in previous years, Phantom Fall Fest also features more than 20 rides and attractions. Park guests can enjoy zombie funnel cakes, turkey legs, and Skull Mug Dippin' Dots, which is Dippin Dots ice cream mixed with Oreo cookie pieces and served in a skull mug. Some limited time treats include pumpkin ice cream, S'mores, Fall Fried Dough and a cup of soup.

The fear kicks into gear at 6 p.m. when older children and adults are welcome, but only if they dare. Young guests may wear a light up “No Boo” necklace to make clear their preference to the more than 130 scare actors that come out after dark.
Tickets for Phantom Fall Fest include access to all four haunted houses, daytime and nighttime events and rides and attractions. The 2025 Gold Season Passes offer free access to Phantom Fall Fest. Plus, select passes offer unique perks like free parking, free soda, free friend tickets, park discounts and more.
Phantom Fall Fest will run select Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays now through Oct. 27. For more information visit LakeCompounce.com.
