Police Blotter: Woman Accused of Illegally Charging $1,380 to Friend's Visa Card
The following information was provided by the public information officer at the Naugatuck Police Department. They are allegations until proven otherwise in a court of law.

LARCENY
Jennifer Fogarty, 30, 45 Johnson St., Waterbury, was charged with fraudulent use of a teller machine, credit card theft by transfer, illegal use of a credit card and fourth-degree larceny on June 13. Fogarty was accused of using a friend’s Visa check card in the amount of $1,380. Fogarty was held by the Waterbury Police Department on July 18 on an active arrest warrant. She was brought to the Naugatuck Police Department for processing and is scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on July 27.
LARCENY
Patricia Ramirez, 32, 122 Stonefield Drive, Waterbury, was charged with sixth-degree larceny on July 15 after police took her into custody on warrant for an incident that occurred Aug. 30, 2006. Police said Ramirez stole a videogame system from a family member. She was released on a $2,500 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on July 27.
DUI
Wayne Rae, 34, 93-1 Ridge Road, Naugatuck, was charged with driving under the influence, reckless driving and a failure to drive in the proper lane after polie said he turned himself in on July 18 for an incident on April 26 on Field Street. Rae was released on a $1,000 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on July 27.

EVADING RESPONSIBILITY
Amanda Doty, 25, 57 Oak St., Naugatuck, was charged with evading responsibility and interfering with an officer after police said she turned herself in on an active arrest warrant on July 15 for an incident that occurred June 13. Doty was released on a $500 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear on July 27 in Waterbury Superior Court.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT
Christopher Sanford, 25, 139 Chestnut Ridge Road, Bethel, was charged with disorderly conduct on July 14 after police responded to Bridge Street for a domestic disturbance. Sanford was released on a $2,500 non-surety bond and was scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on July 15.

ASSAULTING AN EMERGENCY OFFICER
Crystal Fox, 28, 68 Celentano Drive, Naugatuck, was charged with interfering with an officer and assaulting a public safety officer after police responded to her home for an unwanted party complaint on July 14. During the investigation police said Fox became combative and slammed a bedroom door on the investigating officer’s foot and arm. Minor injuries were reported. Fox was released on a $5,000 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on July 27.
VIOLATION OF PROBATION
Quincy Abrams, 31, 101 Dikeman St., Waterbury, was charged with two counts of violation of probation after police responded to the area of Great Hill Road for a report of a suspicious person on July 15. Abrams was held on a total court-set $15,000 surety bond and was scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on July 15.
FAILURE TO DISPLAY A FRONT PLATE
Dennis Santos, 40, 38 Platt St., Waterbury, was charged with a failure to display a front plate and driving with a suspended license on July 16. No further information was available.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT
Jessica Maroto, 23, 23 Pembrook Road, Naugatuck, was charged with disorderly conduct on July 16 after police responded to her house for a report of a disturbance. Maroto was released on a $500 non-surety bond and was scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on July 18.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT
Melissa Maroto, 26, 23 Pebrook Road, Naugatuck, was charged with disorderly conduct on July 16 after police responded to her house for a report of a disturbance. Maroto was released on a $500 non-surety bond and was scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on July 18.
SUSPENDED REGISTRATION
Joneeka White, 25, 56 Sylvan Ave., Waterbury, was charged with driving with a suspended license, driving with a suspended registration, not having proper insurance and having a defective brake light after police stopped her on July 17 on Spring Street. White was released on a promise to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on July 28.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT
Shawn Chandler, 24, 505 Spring St., Naugatuck, was charged with disorderly conduct on July 17 after police responded to Chandler’s home for a report of a disturbance. Chandler was released on a $500 surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on July 18.
NOT HAVING PROPER INSURANCE
Valerie Checo, 47, 29 Waterville St., Waterbury, was charged with driving with a suspended license, improper use of a marker plate, not having proper insurance and a failure to display a front plate on July 18. Check was released on a promise to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on July 28.
ASSAULT
Lucia Diblasi, 44, 60 Round Tree Drive, Naugatuck, was charged with breach of peace and third-degree assault on July 18 after police responded to a report of an assault complaint. Police said Diblasi slapped a maintenance worker who was hanging numbers on condominiums inside the complex. Diblasi was released on a $2,500 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on July 27.
