Police Car Struck From Behind, Officer Injured In Naugatuck: Police

Police said a Naugatuck officer is being evaluated for minor injuries after his police car was struck from behind by another vehicle.

NAUGATUCK, CT β€” Police said a Naugatuck officer was injured Thursday afternoon after his police car was struck by another vehicle.

In a news release posted to Facebook, police said the officer was stopped on the northbound side of New Have Road around 4 p.m. when his marked police car was struck from behind.

The officer is currently being evaluated for minor injuries. The driver of the other vehicle has refused medical treatment at this time, police said.

The crash remains under investigation, according to police.
