Police: Naugatuck High School Faculty Member Assaulted by Female Student
Police say a student charged at one of the teachers and another faculty member was injured as they attempted to intervene.

On Thursday morning at 11 a.m. a police officer responded to Naugatuck High School for an assault involving a faculty member, police said Monday afternoon.
Police said a female juvenile was causing a disturbance at the school and allegedly charged at one of the teachers.
When the victim faculty member intervened both the juvenile and victim fell to the ground causing an injury to the victim’s knee, police said.

The female student was given a juvenile court date of Friday and was released to her mother, police said.
She was charged with breach of peace and third-degree assault.
