Police: Naugatuck Man Charged With Assaulting a Police Officer After Spitting
Police say the man is being held on a $50,000 bond.

It all began as an alcohol related incident but escalated quickly, police say.
On April 11 at 10:45 p.m., Naugatuck police say James Hall, 49, of Southview Street, was charged after an alcohol related incident.
While Hall was being transported to the Police Department he allegedly began to kick and spit at the plastic divider in the police cruiser, police said.

While in the booking area he attempted to spit at one of the officers, police said.
He was held on a $50,000 bond and charged with assault on a public safety officer and for interfering with a police officer.
