Police Raid Naugatuck Bar, 2 Charged With Drug Possession

Authorities executed a search warrant at Sullivan's Cafe in Naugatuck after receiving numerous drug-related complaints, police said.

NAUGATUCK, CT — Two men are facing charges after police raided Sullivan's Cafe in Naugatuck this week following numerous complaints about drug-related activity there, according to authorities.

Craig Cordon, 47, an employee at the cafe, and customer Jason Franklin, 51, were each charged with selling narcotics near a prohibited place and possession of a controlled substance after Naugatuck police executed a search warrant at the business Thursday.

During the raid, authorities discovered both Cordon and Franklin had drugs in their possession, police said.

According to police, the raid was a culmination of a months-long investigation into Sullivan's after authorities received complaints from citizens regarding the sale of narcotics at the business.

Franklin and Cordon were arrested and are each being held on a $250,000 bond pending their arraignments in Waterbury Superior Court, police said.
