Denny's Closes CT Location Abruptly: Here's Where
A branch of a national chain recently closed.
WATERBURY, CT — A Denny's restaurant at 939 Wolcott St. has permanently closed, The Waterbury Republican-American reported. The location closed suddenly on Oct. 31.
A Waterbury city official told the Republican-American that the restaurant left without reaching out to the city. The 105-seat location opened in 2014 and employed between 50 and 60 people.

Reviews of the "Waterbury-based Denny's" wasn't too favorable. Here's a sampling: "Host handed us our menus and pointed where to sit instead of seating us. Took order on a napkin and got orders wrong. Very UNprofessional...Waiter didn’t bring food to table. A waitress off the clock brought the food out and was so great. The manager just watched the room and did nothing. Very disappointed."
"The worst take-out I have had in a long time. The problems ranged from missing components of meals, missing items that I had ordered, cold food and the ridiculous packaging they use. I ended up throwing my dinner out."
"The worst service ever 15 minutes after ordering the coffee comes 50 minutes later still no egg breakfast. The place wasn't even busy. (Their) excuse was the cook's were fighting. Do your self a favor find another place the staff is terrible."
