Power Outages in Naugatuck - 06/02

Multiple wires are down across town, resulting in power outages in several areas. Emergency crews and utility personnel are actively working to address the situation, and Eversource is on scene working to restore power as quickly and safely as possible. We appreciate your patience and will provide additional updates as information becomes available.

A total of 267 residents are without power.

Naugatuck Fire Department shared:

Power line down on Cherry St. energized a chain link fence causing several small spot fires. Smoke in the animal control facility due to electrical arcing from water pipes. All animals removed and are safe. Several areas of town without power. Eversource on scene working on restoration. Beacon Hose, Middlebury, Prospect and Bethany fire departments provided station coverage and responded to other incidents related to the power issue. Animals moved to Oxford animal control with assistance from Bethany, Prospect and Woodbridge animal control officers. See less
