President of Naugatuck EDC Named Lewis A. Dibble Award Winner

Ron Pugliese, the president and chief operating officer of the Naugatuck Economic Development Commission has been awarded the Lewis A. Dibble Award by the Naugatuck Chamber of Commerce, the Republican-American reports.

The award is presented to someone for their contributions to the business and socioeconomic well-being of Naugatuck.

Pugliese, who lives in Southbury with his wife, is a former burgess and community leader in Naugatuck. He has been a three-time president of the local United Way, chair of the Democratic Town Committee and served as a selectman in Southbury.

According to the paper, before being hired in Naugatuck in 2013, Pugliese was president of the East Hartford Chamber of Commerce and later the director for economic development in Waterbury.

Since being hired by the town, Pugliese has overseen several significant projects in the borough.
