Staged within the Laurel Room at the iconic Whiting Mills, "FRINGE" will be part of a continuing initiative by the Mill to foster an eclectic mix of art and artisans. This Victorian New England mill-turned-arts community along the Still River in Winsted, CT was once home to Winsted Hosiery, the largest hosiery manufacturer in Connecticut. Whiting Mills, LLC was established in June of 2004 when Jean Paul and Eva Blachere purchased the 135,000 square ft complex. This historic mill was turned into studios that are now home to artists, craftspeople, photographers, herbalists, a hobby shop, and more. It is to be the future home of the nationally acclaimed American Mural Project.

Doors open at 7:15pm, which allows you just enough time to explore the building and check out Lill Curio Shop in Suite 320 (next to the Laurel Room).

Lill Curio Shop is a spot that combines the owners’ love of books and vintage art with her passion for Steampunk and Victorian collectibles. Selling an assortment of props that were used for book cover projects along with pieces from private collections of vintage photos, postcards, natural objects, and antique findings, along with hand-crafted jewelry, artwork and prints, you are bound to find something you cannot leave without!
