Preview of 'It's A Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play' at CCSU
A celebration of a holiday classic presented by the Central Connecticut State University Theatre Department.

It’s A Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play
Written by Joe Landry, Directed by Jan Mason
Inspired by the classic film, this play captures the spirit of the season and spreads holiday cheer. A cast of five brings to life over fifty characters in the style of a live 1940s radio show. Come celebrate the timeless story of George Bailey, whose life is saved by an angel on Christmas Eve.
Joe Landry (Adaptation) is the author of several plays, including “Vintage Hitchcock,” “Numb,” “Getting Tall” and “Reefer Madness.” His new adaptation of “Meet Me in St. Louis” premiered last season at Bucks County. Other projects include “Mothers and Sons” a musical with Kevin Connors and “Lifeboat, Dahling!” with Bert Bernardi. Founder: Second Guess Stage/Screen. Member: The Dramatists Guild. He has taught playwriting at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT. Upcoming: “A Christmas Carol: A Live Radio Play” (MTC MainStage), “The War of the Worlds: A Live Radio Play” (NYC in 2015).
