Preview of 'The Last Five Years' at Wolcott High School

Leah Ciccone and Thomas Bergamo will present the two-person musical for only one performance.

The Last Five Years

Leah Ciccone, a senior at Wolcott High School, is performing in the two person musical The Last 5 Years as part of her senior Capstone project - an educational project designed to encourage critical thinking, problem solving and raise awareness of social issues. Thomas Bergamo will be her costar in the role of Jamie.

The show will highlight issues associated with the impact of divorce in the American culture. The performance will help her to research how theater is a good outlet for social advocacy, and following the show she will ask audience members to answer several simple survey questions to find out if the performance sparked a conversation or provoked a thought about the topic of divorce. Ms. Ciccone adds, “The show itself is an important part of my grade therefore a good turnout would be great.”
