Shakespeare's classic tale of star-crossed lovers Romeo and Juliet comes back to the HSC stage this summer in a new, raw, and exuberant way. It is no doubt from the outcome of the presidential election that we are living in a country divided - divided by hate. Violence stemming from hatred, and deep routed anger makes this story even more relevant. Can love between two young people possibly survive? We know the outcome, but what will make us change? Must we bury bodies in order to bury hate? Or will we continue to be "fortune's fool" and pass our hatred on to our next generation?
