Public Hearing Wednesday On Proposed Solar Farm In Naugatuck

NAUGATUCK, CT — The Naugatuck Zoning Commission is hosting a public hearing Wednesday, Nov. 17, on the proposed solar energy farm on Bosco Drive.

The meeting, which will be held via Zoom, is scheduled for 6:05 p.m. Wednesday's hearing is the second the Zoning Commission has held on the application.

California-based TRITEC Americas, LLC, is looking to build a "one-megawatt solar panel facility" on five acres, which would power 164 homes.

Some residents oppose the plan for potential impact on nearby property values; safety; and other environmental concerns.
