State agencies and local officials will hold a public education forum on vape stores in Connecticut this week in Naugatuck.
NAUGATUCK, CT — State agencies and local officials will hold a public education forum on vape stores in Connecticut this week at Naugatuck High School.
The event is scheduled to take place Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the school's auditorium, located at 543 Rubber Avenue in Naugatuck, according to a notice from the state Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection.
According to the notice, the session will address recent state laws and local ordinances, the public health impacts of vaping, how to identify and report illicit products, safe storage and disposal practices, prevention initiatives and legal and regulatory considerations.

Attorney General William Tong, DESPP Commissioner Ronnell A. Higgins, Naugatuck Police Chief C. Colin McAllister, Superintendent of Schools Melissa Cooney, Department of Consumer Protection Deputy Commissioner Shirley Sykers-Thomas and Jess Kristy from the Naugatuck Valley Health District are all expected to attend the the session, according to the notice.
