Refurbished Multi-Screen Movie Theater To Open In Waterbury: Report

WATERBURY, CT — The old Regal Cinema which closed in 2022 at the Brass Mill Center mall in Waterbury will be turned into a new multi-screen movie theater run by Apple Cinemas, according to Hearst Connecticut Media.

Located at 495 Union St., the refurbished 12-screen theater could open early next month, Hearst CT said.

Apple Cinemas is based in Massachusetts and has theater locations in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York and Rhode Island.

This will be the second Apple Cinemas theater in Waterbury. The other location is at 920 Wolcott St.

Additional Connecticut locations include Torrington, Hartford and Simsbury.
