Registered Sex Offender Commits Lewd Act: Naugatuck Police
A man is accused of committing a "lewd act" while sitting in the gazebo on the town Green, police said.

NAUGATUCK, CT — A Naugatuck man is accused of committing a "lewd act" while sitting in the gazebo on the town Green, police said.
At 4 p.m. on Friday police responded to the Green after a "concerned citizen reported seeing a male engaging in a lewd act," police said. According to witnesses, the accused, Francis S. Keen, 66, of Barnum Court, Naugatuck, was "seen sitting in the gazebo on the Green committing a lewd act in full view of the public," police said. Keen is a registered sex offender, police said.
Keen is charged with risk of injury, breach of peace, and public indecency. He is scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on July 29. He was given a $2,500 bond.
