Road Closures Announced For Halloween In Naugatuck

Police have announced a number of road closures scheduled to take place during Halloween festivities in Naugatuck.

NAUGATUCK, CT — Police announced Tuesday a number of road closures scheduled to take place Monday during Halloween festivities on Millville Avenue.

In a Facebook post, police said the following road closures and detours will be in effect Oct. 31 from 4:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.

  • Millville Avenue CLOSED from Walnut Street to Fern Street
  • Millville Avenue WESTBOUND traffic only from Fern Street to Hoadley Street
  • Quinn Street CLOSED from Millville Avenue to Chestnut Street
  • Park Avenue CLOSED from Millville Avenue to Grove Street
  • May Avenue CLOSED from Millville Avenue to Grove Street
  • Chestnut Street CLOSED from Quinn Street to Fern Street

Naugatuck police will be stationed throughout the area and at the road closures to properly re-direct traffic.

"No Parking" signs will be posted on both sides of Millville Avenue from Woodlawn Avenue to Hoadley Street on Halloween morning, according to police.

"Our primary goal is to ensure the safety of all those in the area, both drivers and people enjoying the festivities," police said on Facebook. "Please be mindful of the road closures, detours, people, and families out trick-or-treating. Use caution and have a safe and happy Halloween!"
