'Serial Porch Pirate' Sought By Naugatuck Police

The suspect is believed to have stolen packages off the porches of numerous residents.

NAUGATUCK, CT — Naugatuck police are asking for the public's help in finding a "serial porch pirate," who authorities said has stolen packages off the porches of a multitude of residents.

The suspect has been seen on multiple video cameras, and the department posted surveillance images of him and his vehicle on Facebook (see below).

"We are asking the community to assist us in identifying this individual by keeping an eye out, and checking your personal surveillance cameras for any recent sightings," Naugatuck police wrote. "The vehicle is described as an older model gold/ tan Nissan Altima, recently missing its front bumper, and in the latest incident had the rear license plate covered with a towel hanging from the trunk."

Anyone with any information on the suspect is urged to contact the Naugatuck Police Department at 203-729-5222; confidential tips can be left on the department's tip line at 203-720-1010.

"Taking packages containing birthday gifts for kids, large TV’s and any items people have worked hard to buy for themselves or their families isn’t cool," authorities wrote.
