IT’S GOING TO BE A FUN YEAR!

Seven Angels Theatre is happy to announce their 2023 Mainstage Season, one that will delight everyone! Semina De Laurentis, Artistic Director commented, “We are so happy to be back with Professional Plays at Seven Angels Theatre. The Season delivers three new comedies and a brand new musical about a legendary Brass City athlete, so it’s a great time to bring live theatre back to the Waterbury region!” The 33rd Season kicks off with Secondo on March 16, so there is still time to get a Season Subscription, four plays for only $168. You can also add the Summer Community Production of The Music Man for only $25 more. Seven Angels Theatre will also offer many concerts and comedy nights throughout the year. Secondo March 16-April 2
The playwright behind Italian Mom Loves You!, Love & Spumoni and I Loved, I Lost, I Made Spaghetti returns to Seven Angels Theatre with a new comedy!
On the evening of her 10th wedding anniversary, we join Giulia in her kitchen to discover how married life has provided unexpected delights and challenges. While Giulia rushes to prepare heranniversary dinner, we learn that a boyfriend from the past has resurfaced to complicate her recipe for a happy marriage.
Secondo serves up new stories, delicious food, and a bellyful of laughs. You don’t need to have seen I Loved, I Lost, I Made Spaghetti to enjoy this new show! Maria Baratta returns in a new comedy by Jacques Lamarre, based on the stories of Giulia Melucci • Directed by Michael Schirall.

George and Gracie: The Final Bow April 27-May 14
Seven Angels Artistic Director Semina DeLaurentis returns to the stage opposite R. Bruce Connelly to reprise their critically-acclaimed turn as America’s most beloved comedy duo in an all-new show! Before Catherine O’Hara and Eugene Levy and Mike Nichols and Elaine May, there was George Burns and Gracie Allen. From vaudeville to radio and television fame, these comedy icons made audiences double over in laughter from the 1920s to the 1950s.
In this final installment of DeLaurentis’ trilogy, Burns & Allen take to the Seven Angels stage one last time before the final “Say goodnight, Gracie.” A world premiere comedy by Semina DeLaurentis • Directed by Julia Kiley

Joan Joyce: A New Musical October 5-22
Joan Joyce is noted as “the greatest female athlete of all time,” an extraordinarily well-rounded athlete who excels in a variety of sports and has accomplished unbreakable records. This Waterbury native is an inspiration for all, and her life’s story encourages young women to follow their dreams, never give up, and work hard to become all they can be. Enjoy this true to life story of a young woman who even struck out Ted Williams! Joan Joyce! is an uplifting musical for all ages.

Cheese Fries and Chili Dips November 2-19
How do you handle your golf swing and wild mood swings at the same time with bipolar mental disorder? In this funny and touching solo show, pro golfer Chris Fuller details the difficulties he experienced competing in tournaments with a mind racing out of control. Chris will introduce you to the cast of colorful characters who helped him get out of the rough, avoid the hazards, and find his bliss. Cheese Fries & Chili Dips takes you on a poignant, hilarious, and surprising journey as written and performed by the man who lived it!
Written and performed by Chris Fuller. Directed by Mark S. Graham. Robert R. Blume and Pat Labez with Maria Cosgrove present the Step Forward Production.
