Shakesperience to Present 'The Tempest'
Woodbury's Hollow Park will be the site for the first performance; four shoreline shows will be held on the Town Green in Guilford.

Waterbury, CT - 'The Tempest,' captained by Shakesperience Productions of Waterbury, Connecticut, is setting sail for Woodbury and Guilford this summer. Hollow Park in Woodbury, CT will be the site of the first show on Saturday, July 22 at 7:30 pm, with an opportunity for the audience to arrive early and picnic starting at 6:30 pm.
For our friends on the shoreline, shows start Wednesday, August 2, and run through Sunday, August 6. These performances will take place on the Town Green in Guilford each night at 7:30 pm.
We are proud to announce that these performances will be the first to include students from our Acting Intensive Classes into the main productions. Admission is free with a suggested donation of $20.

Dr. David Richman returns to Shakesperience as Prospero. Dr. Richman rejoins Shakesperience for the third time since 2009. Blind since birth, David joins the production from the University of New Hampshire, where he has been a professor since the early 90’s as well as acted, directed, and authored. 'The Tempest,' under the direction of Emily Mattina, features original music set on a replica sand castle. Shakesperience invites the audience to be the encompassing sea that surrounds Shakespeare's classic tale of love, magic, and redemption.
