New Nighttime Sonic Tubing and ‘Tube In The New Year’ Event on December 31
Blue Mountain Resort, featuring Pennsylvania’s highest vertical and the largest snow tubing park in the U.S., will open for snow tubers of all ages on Saturday, December 24, at 9 a.m. Up to 12 of the park’s 46 lanes will open, with more opening throughout the season.
New this season is all-lit nighttime, after-dark Sonic Tubing complete with music and glittering colorful disco lighting.
Tubers are invited to enjoy firepits, selections from a food truck, a bar and café service with a view of the country’s largest snow tubing hills.
New Year’s Eve revelers can participate in the resort’s Tube In The New Year event on Saturday, December 31. Doors will open at 7 p.m., with snow tubing beginning at 8 p.m. A cash bar will be available for those 21 and over. Guests must be 36” or taller to go snow tubing. Included is unlimited snow tubing from 8 p.m. to midnight, dinner and dessert buffet, music by DJ Matthew Fly and a champagne toast for guests 21 and over.
$59 for guests ages 20 and under; $79 for guests ages 21 and over. Reservations can be made at shopskibluemt.com/new-years-tubing.
Snow tubing hours are Friday, Saturday, Sunday and holidays from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sessions are two hours long and start at $29. Tickets are required to reserve each session and are available at https://www.skibluemt.com/winter-sports/snow-tubing/tickets/.
