Southern CT State University Holds Commencement
Brianna Lynn Bauch was among the graduates at SCSU on Friday.
Southern Connecticut State University held its undergraduate commencement on Friday at the Webster Bank Arena in Bridgeport. The academic procession began at 10:15 a.m.
The talented Brianna Lynn Bauch received her diploma from Southern CT State University on Friday. She posted the following message with photos on social media.
"They say for every light on Broadway there is a broken heart, an unrealized dream. And that’s the same in any profession. So you have to want it more than anyone else, and you have to be your own champion, be your own superstar, blaze your own path, say yes to opportunity, follow your instincts, be eager, and passionate, keep learning, nurture your real, lasting relationships, don’t be a jerk, and free your imagination so you can become all that you want to be."- Sutton Foster

Ms. Bauch graduated Magna Cum Laude and also recieved a Theatre Scholar Award. She posted the following thank you to the SCSU Theatre Department online.

<< In the four years that I have attended SCSU, I have been fortunate enough to have been a part of 13 shows with the Theatre Department. Each role has taught me more about myself, life, and about the art. Now that part of my life is over. I am beyond grateful for my experiences and now I am ready to move on to bigger stages. Brianna Lynn Bauch in NewArts' 'A ROCKIN Midsummer Nights' Dream'
I have watched Ms. Bauch grow onstage since she played Gertrude McFuzz in 2013 with John Tartaglia as The Cat in the Hat in the NewArts production of 'Seussical' in Newtown CT. I wrote of her performance: "Brianna Bauch was the perfectly perky Gertrude McFuzz and could easily move on to the role of Glinda in Wicked." I have enjoyed seeing her in many other NewArts musicals and have caught a couple of her New Haven onstage appearances.
Congratulations to all of the SCSU graduates.
