OLD SAYBROOK, CT - The Katharine Hepburn Museum presents a screening of the documentary film The Spencer Tracy Legacy: A Tribute by Katharine Hepburn followed by a discussion with the filmmakers on Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at 7 pm at the Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center, 300 Main Street, Old Saybrook. David Heely and Joan Kramer, the documentary team that also made Katharine Hepburn: All About Me and In the Company of Katharine Hepburn, among others, will recount their time working with Miss Hepburn to make the profile of Tracy.

Spencer Tracy and Katharine Hepburn formed one of the greatest couples of Hollywood’s Golden Era – on and off screen. Shortly after completing Starring Katharine Hepburn in 1981, David Heeley and Joan Kramer asked Miss Hepburn to narrate this profile of Tracy. She became a partner of the project and was eager to talk about all aspects of the man she considered to be her one great love.

Over a 16-year period, Heeley and Kramer maintained a professional and personal relationship with Hepburn, working together on a total of three documentary profiles. Following the film, they will talk about their time with Miss Hepburn and entertain questions from the audience.
