St. Francis - St. Hedwig School Names New Principal

Fr. Mathai Vellappallil, the administrator at St. Francis of Assisi Church, made this announcement in the Feb. 12 parish bulletin:

Dear Parishioners,

With this I want to let you know that Dr. John Salatto, Principal of our School, had gone for knee surgery
and is fast recuperating. When he comes back he will stay for some time and he is retiring this
year. I thank him for all the work he did for the school.

In his place I am happy to announce to you that with the unanimous opinion of the Search Committee I am appointing Dr. John Alfone as the next Principal. With his vast experience and dedication to Catholic education, and with our full support I am confident that he will take the school forward to new heights of excellence in faith and knowledge. I wish him God’s blessings.

Our Gr 3 is working hard to be experts at the Times Table. Fun games like ‘Math Bingo’ make learning the Times Tables fun!

Pre-K-4 is busy exploring ‘Winter’, Learning about freezing fun science experiments and what some animals do in the cold. We also collected 150 items for our ‘Mitten Tree.

1st Gr is reading and learning about wild animals and soon doing project.
